We advise where possible, that no more than 2 to 3 guests visit with you. Please contact us should you wish to bring further guests, so that we can ensure that there is space for your request. Please note that there is now a fee for weekend appointments, see ‘book an appointment’ for further information.

BOOKING FEE:-    Please note that all Saturday and evening appointments (6:30pm), incur a £20 booking fee payable in advance and non-refundable, but redeemable against a gown.  You can pay this over the telephone or via bank transfer and the details of which would be sent to you after receipt of your appointment request.

What should I expect when visiting your wedding dress shop?
Wedding dress appointments for very first visits usually take an hour and 15 minutes or thereabouts, so give yourself the time that’s needed to fully enjoy your time with us.  Upon arrival, you’ll be asked to complete a mini q&a so that we can help you as much as possible and then you’ll be introduced to your stylist who looks after you for the duration of your appointment.  Wedding dresses can be very heavy and brides often tell us that its far more tiring than expected, so on average, brides try between 7-10 dresses whilst here.

Do I need to bring anything to the appointment?
We have bridal shoes here to try for your appointment and where possible we ask for smooth larger knickers (spanx are our best friend).  Otherwise, just yourself and an open heart.

Do you allow photography?
We ask for a completely unplugged experience whilst with us, so that the focus can be wholly on you.  In our experience, looking back at images on a tiny screen, taken in wedding dresses that do not fit properly do not offer the best impression to look back upon.  Additionally a number of designers are incredibly protective over their images online and do not allow photography ahead of wedding days that is not theirs.  We do send the designers images of your dress selection to you after you appointment as a point of reference.

How many guests should I invite to my appointment?
We have found that the magic number is between 1-3 guests for your visit, with 1 or 2 being ideal.  We are not a large boutique and there is usually more than one bride in at a time.

How do I order a dress with you?
Should you wish to proceed with a wedding dress from our collections, you have varying options open to you. We would take your measurements and discuss the sizing options for that designer first and look at timing for the length of time to make your dress and check if you require a rush order which brings the timing forward by 4-6 weeks.  We will book you in for your fittings with either our seamstress or we can often find one in varying cities around the country if easier.  In terms of payment, we request an initial 50% payment with the outstanding balance upon the dresses arrival.   Some brides do like to pay the total off at the beginning and others like to pay their balance off each month and those are options you can speak to your stylist about.

How long does it take to order a wedding dress with you?
We carrying wedding dresses from various designers from all around the world. When you fall in love with your dress, we then have one made to order for you. Nearly all of our designers require 5-6 months just to make your dress, up to 6 weeks for delivery and sometimes longer if customs is involved and then 6-8 weeks for any alterations leading up to your wedding day. Ideally, we would love every bride to have a minimum of 10 months to order their wedding dress, but appreciate that everyone’s circumstances are different. Some designers have rush-options to enable us to order wedding dresses in slightly earlier and this varies from designer to designer and always incurs a fee.

Do you have a seamstress in-store?
We are very fortunate to have a fab relationship with a seamstress that we have worked with for over 5 years now.  She’s incredible at what she does and is based at the store every Tuesday for our fitting day.  She is self employed and all alterations taken up with her are directly between you and her.  Her diary is managed by us to ensure all brides are still looked after at all times.  In addition, we also have a network of seamstresses around the UK and Ireland for brides that travel in to purchase their gowns with us. Can I buy accessories with you?
We have lots of beautiful veils open to you and ideally you will try these at your very first appointment with us where possible. If you have decided at a later date about a veil, you can book a half hour veil appointment to do this. Some veils do take 3 months to order.  We also stock hair pieces from Linzi Jay that we’re a little obsessed over.

Why do you charge for appointments?
On Saturday’s and evenings (6:30pm), we do charge a £20 booking fee for all appointments.  This fee is redeemable against your gown, but is non-refundable.  This charge is in place, as these times are of a premium and we can ensure that all genuine brides are able to get an appointment with us.  Our consultative approach, offering a one-to-one advisory service does mean that you are receiving our full attention at all times.

Do you serve alcohol in your boutique?
Croydon council are quite strict on businesses offering alcohol and we are not a licenced venue. We do offer varying styles of teas and coffees, so that you can ensure you have a clear head at all times.
